Holiday In the City

Holiday In the City was the grand kickoff for the Christmas season in Springfield. It was November 24 and covered much of the downtown area. The weather cooperated quite nicely - temperatures in the upper 30's, no wind and no rain or snow.

The main events included the Christmas parade, lighting of the city and a fireworks display. The crowd was estimated at around 10,000.

Holiday festivities will continue on weekends through Christmas. For a full schedule, visit www.holidayinthecity.com.
