"If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed; if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed." - Mark Twain |
Scott Hisey and the KIC (Keep It Country) Band was a last-minute booking after all of the fair schedules were printed. He performed Monday evening, July 21, 2008.
Scott was raised in South Charleston and his first performances were church hymns. His freshman year in high school he was the percussionist for the band, and soon began playing drums for local bands.
At age 17 he bought his first guitar with money he earned mowing lawns, and began writing and playing music.
Scott now has two albums under his belt, both critically acclaimed and well received by the music-buying public.
His next appearance in the area will be at the 2nd Annual American Legion Post 176 Shindig on August 30 in South Charleston.
