Clark County Fair - Big Cat Encounter

Rosaire's Big Cat Encounter performed several times daily at the 2008 Clark County Fair.

Clayton Rosaire is the 9th generation of a family known for working with wild animals. "It's a great life," said Rosaire, "being able to work with animals and rescue them." For several years, he was the youngest lion and tiger tamer/trainer in the world. "I started working with my father at age 7, and I was in the ring by myself at age 15."

The Rosaire family is involved in saving tigers from poachers and from loss of habitat. Sales of photos and memorabilia at their shows help fund their "Save the Tigers Foundation."

Rosaire's show includes demonstrations of the raw power that tigers have, yet he treats them with love and respect, often getting "kisses" from them. Humor is also an important element of the show. ("Never try any of these tricks at home with your house cat.")
