135.01   DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHED

A Department of Personnel is hereby established. The Department consists of a personnel Director and such other officers and employees as are appointed. The Department shall assist City Departments in the recruitment, hiring, classification, compensation and disciplining of City employees; administer contracts with recognized bargaining units; maintain personnel records; and perform such other duties as required by City Charter and ordinance.
