Vivian J. Getz, 89, of Springfield died at 6:50 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 in Mercy St. John’s Center. She was born February 6, 1920 in Springfield the daughter of Leslie and Louise (Raster) West. She retired from Wren’s Department Store after twenty-five and a half years of service. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and also the Alpha Omega Class at the church.

Survivors include four children and spouses, Ron (Mary) Getz, Fairfield Glade, TN, Joan (Roy) Getz Finchum, South Charleston, OH, Garry (Linda) Getz, Stephen (Rita) Getz all of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert in 1993 and a brother Robert West.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Joe Flora officiating.

Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
