Ray L. Kasper, 94, of Springfield, OH died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in Villa of Springfield. He was born July 12, 1915 in Columbus, OH the son of Walter and Anna (Beh) Kasper. Mr. Kasper served as a United States Navy Corpsman in WWII and the Korean War. He retired from General Motors in Columbus with 27 years service and belonged to UAW Local 969. Ray was a member of Central Christian Church and a Life Member of VFW Post 1031.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia A. (Meyers) Kasper; a daughter Mary Randall of Hilliard, OH; 4 step children Paul Marsh of Hilliard, Tom (Joan) Marsh of Anaheim, CA, Linda Holbrook of Mena, AR, and Mary (Paul) Burton of Columbus; a sister Eva Culp of Pickerington, OH; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Earl Kasper.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 AM in the Memorial home with Pastor Allen Ault officiating.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM. in Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
