Bernadine Anderson

Howard W. Tuttle, 93, of South Vienna died December 4, 2009 in Community Hospital. He was born October 9, 1916 in New York City the son of Emmett and Helen (Hummel) Tuttle. Howard was the president and owner of H.W. Tuttle Inc. for 65 years retiring in 2009 and was on the architect panel for the development of the Veterans Memorial in Columbus and designed and built 3 churches in the Columbus area. He was a member of First Community Church in Upper Arlington, OH, West Gate Lodge #623 (32nd Degree Mason), Shriner’s and Lion’s Club.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Joy M. (Oberst); 2 sons, Jon (Meg) Tuttle and Jeff (Joanne) Tuttle; 3 stepdaughters, Bonnie (Rich) Baleka, Jennifer (Paul) Button and Kathy (Kevin) Blackledge; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Covenant House in New York City.
