Dorsie F. Adkins, 92, of Springfield died November 23, 2009. She was born in Spanglin, Ky on October 13, 1917, the daughter of Walker and Pearl (Click) Mays. She retired from Beach Manufacturing and prior to that she had been a messenger at WPAFB.

Dorsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Derris Adkins, sons Tim McCoy Adkins and Mervel Adkins, several brothers and sisters, she was the last of her family.

Her survivors include one daughter Letha (Bob) Holcomb and one son Ray C. Adkins both of Springfield, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Dorsie was a very special person who was very much loved and will be missed greatly.

Services will be Friday at 2:00 pm in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Rev. Paul Dowdy officiating.

Family and friends may call one hour prior to services.

Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
