Allan S. Williams, 60, of Springfield, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 in his residence. He was born in Springfield on October 7, 1949 the son of Max A. and Phyllis S. (Spencer) Williams. He was a 1967 graduate of Springfield North High School and graduated from Indiana University. Allan worked in the produce department at Big Bear and Kroger's for several years.

He is survived by two sisters, Linda Shaffer of Springfield and Jan (John) Hart of Texas; a nephew, Jason (Jen) Shaffer of Bentonville, Arkansas; and a niece, Jody (Matt) Gilkerson of Columbus.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
