Joyce Detty, 83, of Springfield, died Thursday June 26, 2008 in Eaglewood Care Center. She was born February 10, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of William and Ruby (Edwards) Whittaker.

Survivors include two sons, Dane Detty of Lima, Ohio and Kirk Detty of St. Petersburg, Florida; three grandchildren, Kip, Amy and Brian; two nieces, Pam Haddix of Urbana and Sue Johnston of Springfield; many other nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday June 28, 2008 in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel. Burial will follow services. The family is being served by LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
