Phillip Herzog of Springfield asks,

"Why do we still have "no turn on red" sign at the corner of Home Rd.& Derr Rd.,since the school has been closed."

Mayor Copeland replies,

"I do not know, but I will ask.

June 8, 2007, Mayor Copeland replies,

"II checked on this question. The no turn on red at that corner was never connected to the school being there. Rather citizens claimed they could not get out of driveways and streets just north of Home Road because there was no break in the traffic.

You may not agree. I honestly do not know how big a problem this is since I do not drive there very often. Our traffic people would not object to going back to right turn on red, but the Commission tried to respond to citizen complaints in the past.
