Lauren of Springfield asks,

"I want to know why Old Reid Park's Trails have been neglected or better yet, why they don't have proper funding to clean all the trsh up. What do you propose as a citizen I could do to help? "

Mayor Copeland replies,

"I do not know the particulars of this situation. I would encourage you to contact Tim Smith at National Trails Park and Recreation District directly for specifics. http://www.ntprd.org.

What I know is that they have significant funding problems and have not been able to get voters to approve funds for their operating expenses. I am sure they would welcome your help with that.
