Becky of Springfield asks,

"I am wondering if you could have a meeting with all the local bar and small resteraunt owners about the smoking ban. I resently took a survey of about 20 of them and brought out all most 1500 signatures against the bans. The owners I talked to had lost a lot of business and some have since closed do to these bans. Champain city in Illinous overturned their ban on a local level LEGALY! We believe that our town could do the same and put the choice back in the hands of the private property, tax paying citizen. The responce I got going door to door was overwelmingly in favor of doing away with the bans. Our own Springfield News sun has a poll going on right now and it is 73% against the ban. Check it out! Please let me know if you would need my help with this venture. I would love to restore our constitution!"

Mayor Copeland replies,

"I am sorry not to have responded earlier. Our Law Director does not believe there is a legal way to do this in Ohio.
